We believe that the young people in our care respond better and are able to reach their full potential when they are cared for in an environment in which, people are genuinely interested in their well-being, people who take time to get to know them, and then ensure that their needs are met.
We believe that all young people should be free from harm, fear or threat and actively pursue safeguarding measures in achieving this. We understand that young people with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties respond better to calm and consistent boundaries, which are established and maintained throughout the project.
We believe that all looked after children have the same rights, privileges and opportunities, with the same high standards, high expectations, common goals and respect as any other young person in society.
Our care is based on and around each individual’s needs, taking into account their history, their value system, their family/community relationships, as well as their origins, cultures and religious beliefs.
Enabling Young People to achieve Positive Outcomes are at the heart of all that we do. We have been running now for over 30yrs and have consistently achieved positive outcomes for young people placed with us. We look after young people with a variety of complex needs who have frequently experienced trauma, abuse, and neglect. Often these young people communicate by displaying very challenging behaviours. Our aim is to help improve their lives and enable them to live safely and effectively within the community.
“Our differences are our strengths, and our strengths are our differences”
Our identity is very different to that of other providers, which in the main is due to both our water based and mobile services which provide unique experiences for young people. Providing these types of opportunities for young people allows us to engage young people quickly, gain their trust, build positive relationships, and provide a foundation from which they can develop. We have a proven track record for achieving positive outcomes for young people and we have a huge amount of evidence to back this up.
