Because most young people spend a number of years with us our turnover of young people is very low. Placements are therefore limited and an early enquiry is advised.

If you are interested in placing a young person we first ask for a brief ‘potted’ history (Pen Picture) of the individual together with relevant details of their behaviour and needs. A Risk Assessment is also asked for. Should it be decided to proceed, we would arrange a meeting with the young person to prepare them for their time with us. A basic care plan and placement agreement would then be drawn up and a suitable date arranged for the young person to join us.

Same Day Placements

Whilst we much prefer planned placements, we are aware that very often, young people in crisis have to be placed quickly. We are often able to accept emergency and short term placements on a minimum 14-day assessment basis. A number of our homes can also take same-day referrals. Decisions can often be given within 1-2 hours.
